At its core, you will meet with several tokens on the way to train your dragon – $GENE, $KI, $XP

All you need to improve your pets is $KI and $XP.

KI is an in-game reward token reward to players who have a habitat. Usage: accelerate pet evolution, craft habitats and other items.

XP is the metadata which increases with real-world grinding actions.

However, $GENE is the governing token with every other transaction requiring the token.

Other items to note:

  • Refined Crystals:

  1. augmenting an element to the pet

  2. craftable through $GENE $KI in a habitat lab

  • Habitats:

  1. the pets’ place to live and evolve

  2. purchasable or craftable through $GENE $KI Crystals

  3. different habitats have different effects

  4. you can lease your habitat to other players for revenue

  5. must be maintained periodically with crystals

  • Energy:

  1. in-game action points (fund for other in-game actions)

  2. automatically stored, unlike steps

  3. no limit

  4. energy is the conversion from steps

If you grow tired of grinding and want to accelerate the value of your pet, purchasing a habitat to join the paid side of Genopet’s economic flywheel with added benefits!

Adding to the Pay-to-Earn side of Genopets, after the “Road to KI” update, you could also start earning KI tokens.
